The Cuban Amazon, also known as the rose-throated parrot, is medium-sized and mainly green. They are found in the woodlands and dry forests. They have been known to gather in flocks during the winter and then split into pairs during the breeding season. They feed on fruits and seeds. Due to poaching for the pet trade, natural disasters, and habitat loss it is evaluated as near threatened.
