The yellow collared macaw, also known as the golden-collared macaw, is a small mostly green Central South American parrot. They have a bright yellow patch on the back of their neck/upper shoulders. They inhabit forests, woodland, savanna, and grassland but avoids the amazon rainforest and feed on fruits, flower buds, and seeds. They are found in pairs during the breeding season and in small flocks out of their breeding season. They can be known to be quite mischievous.
