Amazon Spotted River Terrapin (P. unifilis)

The Amazon spotted river terrapin, also known as yellow-headed side neck turtle and yellow-spotted Amazon river turtle is a side-necked turtle and pulls its head in sideways to tuck into their shells and have yellow spots on the side of its head that fade with age. This species is vulnerable.

Locality: Bolivia, Plurinational States of; Brazil; Colombia; Ecuador; French Guiana; Guyana; Peru; Suriname; Venezuela, Bolivarian Republic of
