Green Wing Macaw (A. chloropterus)

The green wing macaw, also known as the red-and-green macaw, is the largest of the genus Ara. They inhabit the forests and woodlands of northern and central South America. They are monogamous and generally mate for life. Habitat loss and illegal capture of this species have led to a decrease in the population.
