The Indonesian Giant Pond Turtle lives in rivers, streams, marshes, and even rice paddy fields. This pond turtle is omnivorous and feeds on worms, larvae, snails, deceased animals, and plants. They will feed in aquatic environments as well as terrestrial. A large part of why these turtles are considered vulnerable is due to illegal capture and export.
