The lilac-crowned amazon is a parrot endemic to the Pacific slopes of Mexico. Due to habitat loss, 20% decreased range, the wild population has seen a significant decline. They are characterized by their maroon forehead and a violet-blue crown and neck. These parrots are not nearly as talkative as others.
