The Spiny shelled turtle is a South-East Asian turtle that inhabits the lowlands and hill rainforest. They usually stay close to a source of water such as streams and areas up to 900 meters above sea level. As the name suggests, these turtles have a sharp, pointed, spiky-edged carapace. It has been found that the presence of rain triggers mating behavior.
