The vinaceous amazon, also known as the vinaceous-breasted amazon, is a parrot that inhabits the subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, moist montane forests, and plantations. It is threatened by habitat loss. Out of breeding season, they congregate in large groups and roost communally. During the breeding season, they will pair off and form smaller groups.
